Unlike the Golden Circle / South Iceland tours, with is more hardcore. The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is much more isolated, but just as amazing. Our tour was in a mini coach instead of a classic coach, but that was ideal to venture off the more classical tourist spots. Djúpalónssandur beach was my personal highlight, say it quietly but I think it's more impressive than the more famous 'black beach' near Vík. This is very much a full day tour, so don't have dinner plans afterwards; instead enjoy this less ventured area of an amazing country.

The Snaefellsness day tour was amazing! We had a wonderful driver/tour guide who regaled us with anecdotes, history, and stories about places we passed and the stops we made. It was a very full day, with us leaving at 9 am and returning to the city around 9 pm. Our driver coordinated a special lunch at a great restaurant that everyone enjoyed.

Unbelievably good! An amazing experience with breathtaking views. Shout-out to our awesome guide Omar, he made for an even better experience with his great passion (given being an Icelander), his great sense of humor and really interesting explainations regarding geology and geography of Iceland. Not to forget the driver Adi (hope I got the name right) who was just as funny and friendly. If you want to really enjoy this experience not only for the views but also for the story behind it Omar and Adi are the people you need to really get the full experience :D
