It was an incredible experience despite rare weather conditions. The high temperatures for Jan, rain and ice nearly had the day cancelled. But the organisers managed to get us on the glacier. It was an incredible experience hard to put into words. Yes it’s not a cheap day out , but it’s an experience like no other. We couldn’t recommend it enough. The hot spring on the way back was beautiful we liked it more than the blue lagoon. A 10 out of 10 day that we will never forget.

Collected by Aynar in, what I can only describe as, a monster truck. Once we got up onto the mountain it quickly became apparent why we needed the motor beast. The trip up to the Glacier was an experience in itself, great fun. Once we arrived at base camp we were kitted out with an overall, helmet and gloves and given a brief training session on how to ride a snowmobile. The hour long ride on the snowmobiles was an experience we will never forget and the scenery was awe inspiring. After all the hard work it was great to then head to the Secret Lagoon. We chilled out in the hot springs with a drink. A great day out and highly recommended 👍

Drive through the scenic Geysir Hot Spring area with its boiling mud pits and spouting hot springs. Then, head towards the Langjökull Glacier on a specially designed truck for a snowmobile tour across Europe’s second-largest glacier. Get set up with all required equipment, and set off on your adventure as you experience the thrill as you ride across the vast open expanses of the ice field. Finally, stop near the small village of Flúðir. Visit a secret outdoor lagoon, a natural hot spring, so you can relax and unwind after your adventure. Finally, travel back to the capital with drop-off back at your accommodation.

It was a great experience! Though I wouldn't recommend if you have motion sickness, as the journey to the snowmobiling was over snowy terrain, so it was extremely bumpy. The snowmobiling was fun, the Instructor was clear with the instructions and they made sure we all stayed together and safe. They even give you the opportunity to film your ride and purchase the footage online, so there's no pressure to buy it if you don't like it (as you get to see a preview.) After that, we made our way to a waterfall and then we concluded our trip with a visit to The Secret Lagoon which was quaint yet beautiful. I preferred it to the Sky Lagoon, as that seemed a bit more for show and inauthentic. It would have been nice to have had a bit more time to enjoy the Secret Lagoon, as we were a bit pushed for time by the end of the day. Overall, this experience is expensive but I think it was worth the money. Just be warned that much of the day is spent on the jeep driving to/from locations
