My friend and I had the most incredible experience on this hike. Had we hired a car and hiked alone, we would have missed out on the geological beauty of the volcano and surrounds. We had the absolute privilege of being lead by geologist, France. She was attentive, kind and just plain fun! We learnt so much about the eruption site, the volcano and even the soil. Highly recommend this experience, absolutely worth the money.

Very informative trip, it's very good to do the hike with a geologist because you get a lot of background information that you can't really acquire on your own. Of course, there was no longer any active lava to be seen from the 2023 eruption, but the lava had cooled down also very impressive!
