Full description

Enjoy a safe and reliable transfer between Reykjavík City Centre and the world-famous Blue Lagoon, while also getting the opportunity of selecting between the Comfort Package or the Premium Package.

Experience the tranquility of the unique Geothermal Milky Blue Sea waters, considered by many to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an unmissable part of your Iceland Holiday. There are frequent departures to and from Reykjavik allowing you to explore on your own time.

The Blue Lagoon was formed in 1976 during an operation at the nearby geothermal power plant. In the years that followed, people began to bathe in the water and apply the silica mud to their skin. It’s known for its restorative qualities and health benefits.

The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy lava field, offering incredible scenery, with state-of-the-art facilities and an other-worldly atmosphere.

Choose between two different packages available and take some time to relax. Afterward, return to Reykjavík. Your return ticket is flexible/open and can be used for all departures from the Blue Lagoon.

We got to the BSI terminal for the departure in plenty of time and the bus left on time. We were told about the last bus back and spent a fantastic 2 hours in the Blue Lagoon. Just sad that it couldn't have been for even longer. The bus left promptly at 8.15 so a good idea to get out a little early if you can.

Pick up was on time, we just had to walk to BSI bus terminal which was about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre. The drive to the blue lagoon is beautiful with the roads surrounded by moss covered lava. Once you’re there you are given a wristband for the lockers and you enter the changing rooms. Lockers were slightly confusing to operate, make sure you’ve checked that it’s definitely locked! The blue lagoon itself is amazing and is very warm and relaxing. You got a drink included in the price and there were choices of beer, wine, cider and soft drinks. We explored the saunas and steam rooms and different areas of the lagoon as well as doing our face masks. I would say you don’t need longer than 3 hours there. On the way back the driver asked where we were all staying and did drop offs around the city so you don’t have to go back to the bus terminal. It was a great afternoon.

Very enjoyable day, the bus leaves from the bus terminal and drops you off right outside the blue lagoon entrance. You get a free drink at the swim up bar (beer, wine, cider, slush, smoothie or fizzy drink) and also a free face mask at the swim up mask bar. you can also pay for other masks and drinks with an electronic wristband, then you pay the balance on the wristband when you leave the blue lagoon. We spent 4 hours here, the buses leave at 15 mins past the hour. There’s a cafe with sandwiches, crisps and drinks etc or there is a very posh (expensive) restaurant. Only thing we didn’t use was the steam cave/sauna as it isn’t our thing but it looked fab.
