The blue lagoon is unmissable, it truly is breathtaking. You might be a little bit put off by the price but just pay it it’s once in a lifetime experience. You get a locker, drink(can be alcohol) and face mask included which are amazing. One tip to save yourself £30 though bring a waterproof phone case so you are not having to buy one when you are there but as for that unforgettable trip. Transport is more than easy to figure out and the drivers were super helpful get yourself on the 4pm coach there then you get longer than just an hour in the water on the way back like I did on the 6pm trip. As last buses back are 6.15&8.15pm

Spent almost 3 hours there the day before my departure from Iceland! I highly recommend it! I had the premium package and had it all! Drinks, masks, robe, towel! It can be a bit crowdy but I was kinda lucky and I could relax in some empty spots in the lagoon. It's a great way to just relax, drink something and remember the good time you had in Iceland.

There are frequent departures to and from Reykjavik allowing you to explore on your own time. The Blue Lagoon was formed in 1976 during an operation at the nearby geothermal power plant. In the years that followed, people began to bathe in the water and apply the silica mud to their skin. It’s known for its restorative qualities and health benefits. The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy lava field, offering incredible scenery, with state-of-the-art facilities and an other-worldly atmosphere. Choose between two different packages available and take some time to relax. Afterward, return to Reykjavík. Your return ticket is flexible/open and can be used for all departures from the Blue Lagoon.

Finding the coach was easy and the staff in the bus station was very helpful. The trip is comfortable and around 45mins. The blue lagoon is a definite must but be aware that you are required to shower naked before going into the blue lagoon and you cannot take towels past a certain point. you are only given one towel for the day and that is when you are leaving. I feel much of this was not explained when we arrived and a guest had to run me through the process. also the prices are extremely expensive so eat a big lunch.
