I loved the blue lagoon but it was so hard to catch a bus

I had low expectations after hearing people say it was a tourist trap however my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We ended up staying for 4 hours. For the extra money I’d say it was definitely worth getting the premium package as the drinks are expensive to buy and the additional face masks made my skin feel lovely. The area itself is beautiful and the lagoon was warm and relaxing despite it raining whilst we were there. It is expensive but it’s Iceland so it’s going to be. The conditioner in the showers also made my hair feel great afterwards. The transfer left exactly on time which meant we were at the lagoon 45 minutes after our departure time, so make sure you arrive early to board the bus! We also had lunch in the LAVA restaurant, which again is expensive but not that much more than some other restaurants we saw. The food was delicious and a nice treat to sit looking out at the lagoon. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you can afford it!

In the years that followed, people began to bathe in the water and apply the silica mud to their skin. It’s known for its restorative qualities and health benefits. The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy lava field, offering incredible scenery, with state-of-the-art facilities and an other-worldly atmosphere. Choose between two different packages available and take some time to relax. Afterward, return to Reykjavík. Your return ticket is flexible/open and can be used for all departures from the Blue Lagoon.

Great place to relax. In water treatment was very good. Smoothies are nice. Masks are very good. Lava Restaurant was outstanding. Changing room and the sauna can be improved.
