The tour operators were great! Very knowledgeable. They’ve been doing it for many years. The explanations were great and they were very patient with all the people on the bus. I was lucky enough to see the lights, and it filled the sky. It was one of the most incredible experiences. Even as we were waiting for the lights to come out, being able to see all the stars in the sky is so magical. If you like astronomy definitely try this. If you’re impatient, this isn’t the tour for you. One girl and her boyfriend in the seat in front of me complained the whole time. They never stepped off the bus to look at the lights even once. Expect to be cold this trip, and I mean really cold! Reykjavik is chilly even during the day. When you’re in the middle of nowhere, next to the sea, it’s 12pm, and the wind is howling, for me it was under -21 degrees Celsius with a wind chill. It makes your bones hurt, and cuts through you if you’re unprepared. Dress extra warm! Then you’ll have an amazing time 100!

Great experience! At first we thought it wouldn't work, but after waiting a good hour at -18°C and an icy wind, it slowly started. At first just a few lights on the horizon, getting stronger and stronger. then the lights faded and we thought that was it. Warm up on the bus. As soon as we were seated, our guide called us out again. And then it really started. A real explosion. Everywhere, huge and strong! The cold was forgotten. we could take great photos - also with our smartphones. Besides, the guide told us a lot of interesting things - how is the aurora borealis formed, what legends are associated with it. What colors are there and when can you see them and much more. That was an unforgettable experience! We were really lucky. Our guide said it was the best he's seen so far this season. We can highly recommend it! Many Thanks

It wasn't a bad experience as we saw the Northern Lights (and it was our first so we were thrilled) but the actual excursion is to take us to the end of a sea wall past a lighthouse and lighted buildings , and to look at the horizon (the sea) to see light auroras (with all the light that we had around it was normal that they were light). In addition, we were not the only bus on site, so Disneyland quickly... The next day we booked a small group excursion and the experience was incomparable!
