Full description

Depart Reykjavik and get stunning views of some of the most magnificent scenery in Iceland on the bus ride to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon. Marvel at the mighty Hvannadalshnjúkur mountain and black sand desert that sprawls between Skaftafell National Park and the lagoon.  Stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the cascades to reach the other side. Continue to the majestic Skógafoss waterfall and marvel at the impressive 60-meter drop. Drive onwards to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and go for a stroll along the shores of the lake on arrival to admire the scenery. Experience the incredible tranquility of the area as 1,000 to 1,500-year-old ice breaks away from the Vatnajökull glacier and floats silently across the water. Recognize locations from some of the many movies that have been filmed in the area, such as Batman Begins and Tomb Raider.

During the tour there will also be a stop at the spectacular Diamond Beach. Admire the sight of the strand of black sand speckled with clumps of ice, giving an appearance of shimmering diamonds.

You will pass through magnificent places, visit a couple of waterfalls and the glacial lagoon which deserve it especially if it is a sunny day. The stop at the city of Vik is not worth it, you only stop for an hour to eat, even if the beach is a stone's throw away, others in the west of the island deserve more. It is many hours by bus and this is a bit tiring, the guide did not involve us much. They picked us up from the hotel.

It's a unique ride! You can get acquainted with the fantastic and surprisingly beautiful nature of Iceland. We had a very good guide Camil, who organized a wonderful trip. We thank our driver for the safe journey. And we say "BIG THANK YOU" to the organizers of this tour, you make people happy!

Absolutely amazing. So much better than tours with Reykjavík excursions. Tour guide Ursula was fantastic. The glacier lagoon is just the most incredible thing over ever seen.
