Our booked excursion in the 'minibus' took place in 3 large coaches. Still, the process was easy. The guide told other interesting things. When we got out the northern lights could already be seen. The organization was perfect and Claudia - our German tour guide, was totally funny. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky that night, you could see the northern lights for a short time. I have the following tips for you: Wrap up warm. In winter it is cold and windy at night. There are cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate at the arrival point (I didn't try either because after my cinnamon roll favorites from Braud & Co. You can only be disappointed - absolute recommendation!) Check the website, which informs you about the probability of the aurora and the cloud movements. Prepare your devices! For really clean photos you have to expose properly. The lights were very weak when we went and you couldn’t see them through the naked eye or smart phone but, if you had a camera you could. The tour guide was very good and really tried to get us a good view of the lights. On the way home we stopped because there was more activity, which I thought was really good of them to do. They really do try and give you every chance to see them. It was -10 degrees so be prepared for the cold
