Full description

Explore the geothermal landscapes of the south coast of Iceland on a 2-day tour to some of the most amazing waterfalls, ice caves and black lava sand beaches.

Day 1: South Coast - Waterfalls - Reynisfjara

Depart Reykjavík and drive along Route 1 en route to Seljalandsfoss and the Gljufrabui (Hidden Falls) waterfalls beneath the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Continue to Skógafoss waterfall to watch the Skógá River fall 60 meters at the powerful cascades.

Discover the secret waterfalls of Kvernufoss and Írafoss, and continue to the black sand beach at Reynisfjara under Mt. Reynisfjall. Drive on to the East to spend the night at a country guesthouse close to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Search the sky for the Northern Lights if conditions are favorable.

Day 2: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Blue Ice Cave

Day 2 starts with visit at Vatnajokull National Park where views of the wilderness will take your breath away. See the icebergs of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon as they crack off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float out to sea.   Drive by Super Jeep to one of the ice caves that form in the winter and get about 1 hour to explore the magical blue caves. The best experience ever!!! My husband and I loved everything!! We had Jonas as our guide and Oh my God! He’s the best guide we’ve EVER HAD! He’s just amazing! He showed us things and places out of the planned trip because he wanted us to see some new things or experience different views and OMG that was amazing! He also was a talkative guide and that made the trip funnier plus he’s so funny and nice. We shared culture, had dinner together at the hotel, he sat with us and we talked, he was even awake at midnight just to see if we could see northern lights, we couldn’t see them because the sky didn’t help at all. He’s also a very good photographer. Thank you Jonas. We recommend you guys take the tour. It’s a wonderful tour, beautiful views and amazing experiences, you’ve to live it to see how amazing the world in Iceland is.

Had a wonderful experience. The best tour in Iceland. David was a fantastic guide, friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable. Luckily there were less participants therefore we got to see some extra places as well. Also witnessed northern lights. Transportation, accommodation, meals and schedule, everything was quality and nicely organized. Will recommend everyone to choose this tour.
