Get into the olden tradition of Reims with a Sabrage Technique Workshop. Learn all about the Sabre and how to open a bottle of champagne with a sword. After you succeed, taste the fruits of your labor with a drink from the bottle.

Discover the tradition of saber making, inherited from the many regiments of France, including Napoleon's hussars. Learn the methods of saber laying on the magnificent grounds of The Golden Saber Academy.

After hearing about the history and traditions of making these historical swords, learn to use the Golden handled sword to accomplish your mission: open a bottle of Canard-Duchene.

Find yourself successful, and receive the ultimate reward of tasting champagne from the bottle you just sliced. Recieve also a certificate of swordsmanship, in an all-around safe and thrilling experience.

This activity is an absolute blast. We enjoyed a guided visit to the caves with plenty of history and information. Then upstairs for a private demonstration of the Sabrage technique which we then did ourselves to our great delight. Even better we each had a lovely bottle of champagne to drink.
