What people are saying about Reichstag Dome
I had a really great time having Coffee and Cake with my Mum at the Reichstag, enjoying wonderful scenic views with the excellent quality Coffee and Cake. It's also handy that after your Coffee Break you can just go straight onto the Reichstag roof to experience the Dome and see more of the views. I would only say that I was told on my booking that me and my guest were able to have unlimited coffee, however no-one came to ask if we'd like some more and so I felt too uncomfortable to ask if there was more coffee included. Still a very enjoyable experience though, and one I'd like to do again!
We arrived at our allotted time and were showed to our table with a view of the city. Service was attentive and our coffee and cake delivered promptly. The various cakes we had ordered between four of us were excellent. One benefit of making the booking was that we were able to jump the queue of those just wishing to do a tour of the Reichstag dome. We arrived at the dome in sufficient time to do the walking tour around the dome before going to the cafe for our coffee and cake. It took around an hour to do the tour with an audio guide, which you are able to do at your leisure.
Yes, the coffee and cake were enjoyable but the glass dome was closed for cleaning which was disappointing. It was a very grey, wet day so the view was spoilt by a general dinginess. Berlin is an interesting, vibrant city with many exciting things to do and see but it is not a very photogenic town. I have enjoyed better views than the one offered by the top of the Reichstag.
was a bit cross they tried to charge for water when my daughter didn't have tea or coffee- a tad steep given the price paid - they did refund the ater but took me to ask for that to hapen- great views and enjoyable drinks and cakes however so as was only way for us to 'get in' as no 'free' slots available i was happy we did it
Our guide Klaus was excellent. He has lived in Berlin from before the wall came down. He gave us a great perspective on the Reichstag and the history of Berlin. with lots of extra insider info. He was funny, charming and informative.. I would definitely recommend this tour.
