Things to do in Recanati

In Recanati, a few steps from the home of Giacomo Leopardi, the Orto sul Colle dell’Infinito is the vegetable garden of an ancient monastery and the site where the poet set his famous poem L’Infinito in 1819. Following a long restoration, it is today possible to stroll around and take a seat in this place. The garden is the last leg of a “guided tour” inside the poem, a tour that invites the visitor, through immersive projections and engaging experiences, to rediscover the meaning of the few short lines, masterpieces of Italian culture.

You will explore the landscape of Leopardi and the hills of infinity by E-Bike, from Recanati to the castle of Montefiore. We will cycle through the rolling, picturesque hills of Recanati, mainly on unpaved, paved, and quiet roads, among vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields. We will meet in Piazza Giacomo Leopardi in the center of Recanati for a coffee and here you can rent E-bikes (if you don't have your own). After a short initial briefing in which I will describe the route, safety rules, and the basics of riding an E-bike (if this is your first time), we will set off on the tour, which will last approximately 5 hours. All under the careful supervision of an expert official cycling tour guide from the Marche Region. Finally, I will create a personalized video for you (using photos and videos taken by me and you during the tour) that will immortalize your experience. If you already own an e-bike, you can use it on the tour. In this case, select the booking option without e-bike rental. If you do not have one, you can select the booking option with e-bike rental.
