Was greeted by our tour guide Andres who escorted me to our tour bus. En route to our destination, Andres filled the time with interesting information about Quito and the surrounding area. Very engaged with everyone on the tour. On our arrival at Midal del Mundo, Andres collected out entrance tickets, then led us through the park to a meeting point. He pointed out all the areas available to visit, then turned us loose for an hour to explore on our own. When we returned to our meeting point, Andres then led us to an exhibit featuring the housing and day-to-day living conditions of the indigenous people who occupied the area pre-Inca. Andres clearly had a depth of knowledge of the subject and was enthusiastic in his presentation. Our return trip was quick and uneventful as we were dropped off at our respective hotels. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip and especially Andres as your host.

It was a cool place to check out with a great guide! Very reasonable, I would definitely recommend this. It says hotel pickup but then the meeting point was about a twenty five minute walk from my hotel. After talking to someone I was able to arrange my pick up a bit closer but false advertising and an inconvenience.

Cute bus, fun to go to the "centre of the world"

Interesting drive through northern Quito to get to the monument. Bigger complex than expected with various galleries and museums to look around too. Some of these, have timed entries so almost impossible to visit when on a tour with a time limit. A real shame that the ticket entry was only for the complex and didn't include going into the monument. Would have paid the extra if we had only known but a bit late when we were there. Don't forget to take an umbrella as there is little cover when it rains!
