The breakfast stop was at a gas station but they did have good ham and cheese empanada. The Cotopaxi climb is challenging due to elevation but worth it. Bring your passport to get a stamp in the lodge. The Lagoon tour wasn't very detailed, but that could be because we were tired from the climb. The lunch tasted OK but the staff wasn't great. We pre-ordered our food but the staff didn't acknowledge our group when we arrived. And didn't say anything to us as they set food in front of us. Wouldn't go back.

A good experience, although not quite warranting five stars. The guides were informative and chatty and did what they could to make the trip interesting. Didn't get a clear view of the summit, but that of course was beyond anyone's control. But in essence it's a drive to a parking lot and a hike up a cinder slope to a lodge, with quite a number of other people.

It is a very good tour because we got to know part of the Cotopaxi National Park. Beautiful landscapes. What we are left with is not to visit the shelter due to security and control issues by the Park officials. For the rest, all punctual, and the guide David, very experienced connoisseur of the volcano and its stories. Also very nice and very friendly. I recommend doing it.
