    Depart by bus from through the Panamerican Highway admiring the diverse ecosystems of the route, as a clear sign of the majesty of the Andes. Continue to the Cotopaxi National Park, arriving at the foot of the impressive active volcano. Visit the Museum Park, the Limpiopungo Lagoon and and through an interesting hike will reach the forest of chuquirahuas to 4200 meters. (if the weather permits). See the Quilotoa Volcano. With a stunning turquoise lagoon in its crater, it's one of the most beautiful landscapes of Ecuador. Take a short hike to appreciate the magnificent view of the volcano (if weather conditions allow) and enjoy time for lunch at your own expense.

    If you really have 1 day like me, then it's a good quick fix. But set right expectations: you will spend very little time in both sites and Cotopaxi might not be visible at all. In our case, we stayed even shorter due to ashes and didn't see the volcano. That's nature though, so be ready for this.

    The tour was excellent: organisation, knowledge of the tourguide, everything was great. The guides were very warm and friendly. They were also open for the suggestions of the group. The lunch at the restaurant was very delicious! Thanks a lot for the experience!

    A long day and unfortunately the cloud cover did not let us see either Cotopaxi or the lagoon … but our guide (Andrea) did all she could to make the tour interesting - pointing out various plants and animals and giving us a history lesson at the same time
