Pick up was on time and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The other passengers were friendly and Andy, the driver/ host was top class. His friendly commentary ensured a good day. Small numbers made the trip even better as we felt we had a personal guide. A long day but worth it in every way and would certainly recommend using a commercial operator to do this trip from Queenstown and would certainly recommend this company.

Wonderful round day with delicious food and a funny bus driver

When planning my trip, I first thought about going into the Milford Sounds myself. After this tour with the BBQ bus my decision paid off not to do so. The journey is very long and very exhausting due to the road conditions, but it was not so in the BBQ bus. You could sit back and relax and enjoy the view. Our bus driver knew all the spots for good photo breaks and didn't extend them too much. The food at the stopover was very loving and delicious and prepared ecologically. Care was taken to use as little plastic as possible. The boat trip on the Milford was very well organized and there was free coffee and tea. On the way back the bus driver showed us a documentary about the development of New Zealand and then another New Zealand film that was very funny. We made a stopover in a very nice café. Great tour! Thanks a lot!
