Full description

Discover New Zealand's renowned Milford Sound on this small group tour from Queenstown with an award-winning tour operator. Departing from Queenstown, this tour offers an escape from the crowds and gets you up close and personal with Fiordland's iconic scenery. Travel along the famed Milford Road in a premium Mercedes van, limited to just 16 passengers, hosted by a friendly local guide, and cruise below the towering peaks of the fjord on a 2-hour nature cruise.

You will start the day picked up from the comfort of your accommodation in Queenstown or central meeting points along the route. After a scenic drive through Southland farming country to Te Anau, we enter the Fiordland National Park and the famous Milford Road. Enjoy plenty of stops along the way, taking in the views and meeting the local cheeky Kea bird.

Once in Milford Sound, board a boat for a 2-hour cruise along the fjord, where you can feast your eyes on the spectacular sights and go under waterfalls. Allow your local guide to provide you with informative commentary while you absorb the views of the lush surroundings. Along the way, you'll see everything from cascading waterfalls, mirrored lakes, and awe-inspiring mountains to fur seals and dolphins. 

After your cruise, rejoin the van to commence the return journey to Queenstown. Sit back, relax, and take in the views. Once back in Queenstown, you will be dropped back off at the same point where you met the van.
