Extremely fun activity. A combination of leisurely cruise at the start which allowed us to take in and enjoy the scenery followed by exciting rapids made for a balanced trip. The guides were very warm and friendly. The entire experience from pick up to drop off was seamless. Highly recommended.

Due to the heavy rainfall we ended up on the Kawarau rafting trip instead (it was possible to get a refund but we were happy to give this a go!). It was my first time white water rafting and every member of staff from start to finish put me at ease. It was a great experience and a lot of that was down to our guide, Zack. In quieter sections of the river we were able to jump in and play different games, making the whole trip fun as well as exciting when we hit the rapids. All in all a great experience!

Due to rains in the morning, the Shotover River was too full and dangerous to go on, so we raftet on the Kawarau River, but the team was also really nice and helpful if you wanted to change the date or get your money back. I would recommend this tour anytime, I felt really safe and comfortable at all times. There is space to change, shower and lock up valuables if needed. So if possible go on Zac's boat, he was awesome. We had little games on the boat, went couple of times swimming and a lot to laugh. The wetsuits were perfect for the cold water. I think white water rafting is one of the best things to do in Queenstown and it last longer then few seconds of free fall, which we saw when we were passing by the bungee jumping with our boat. Totally your money worth.
