One of the most memorable days of my life!

You won't regret taking the journey to Milford Sound. My husband and I went in early October 2018, and it was BREATHTAKING. My advice: Dress warm, anticipate rain (bring jackets, warm hat, raincoat, good shoes, etc.) and BRING YOUR CAMERA. The entirety of the bus ride to and from was mesmerizing - couldn't get enough of the scenery! The national park is stunningly majestic and the magnitude of everything surrounding the little road that cuts through it is humbling. The cruise itself is wonderful. If you're dressed warm enough, DO brave the outdoors. It's the best way to experience it - you'll only be there a couple hours, don't waste it! We drank water pouring straight from a glacier, saw seals playing on the rocks, and got some incredible photos of the mountain canyon carved out into the coastline. It's an experience you shouldn't miss! I'd recommend that you call to confirm your reservation - the bus driver didn't recognize our mobile ticket, so we almost weren't allowed on the bus.

Our coach driver was Marcus who was super friendly, knowledgeable and funny. A great addition to a 4 -5 hour bus ride so I recommend bringing snacks/ movies as you lose cellular signal about halfway there. You will most likely be soaking wet if you go on a rainy day so bring some spare clothes and a poncho otherwise you’ll be left soaking wet on the ride back. Overall an amazing experience and something I’d recommend everyone does

Marcus, our bus driver, was excellent, extremely knowledgeable and well spoken, plus a good driver. Shop was modern and clean. Buffet was not what I signed up for, more Asian and Indian, no mussels, salmon, bbq as advertised ( the one I did sign up for). Because the line to eat was so long, you were missing half the sights on the cruise. Still the day was worth it for the experience.
