What People Are Saying About Queenstown
The tour to and from Milford sound from Queenstown is breathtaking. I took hundreds of pictures. Southern Discovery provided a shuttle service from the hotel to the bus before the tour and from the bus to the hotel after the tour. The bus was new, had windows on the roof and USB to recharge your Smartphone on the 13 hours tour. The driver Mike did an exceptional job : very safety conscious, clear instructions and varied teaching all the way to Milford sound (300 km to drive from Queenstown). This tour was definitively a highlight of my stay in New Zealand.
We went to Queenstown mainly to do the plane tour and the cruise on Milford Sound. We were quite lucky since the weather and some last minute changes allowed us to achieve our goal. The views are amazing and this is a must do.
I booked the tour for my parents (in their 60s) who LOVED it - they were lucky with the weather being sunny though cold, and said it was a very scenic and unique way of seeing the area.
We had a superior experience for 4 People with an excellent scenic Heli flight over Queenstown. The Service and communication around was excellent. It was worth ist Money and the People in Charge were very friendly and helpful. Strong recommendation!
First, I thought the rain will ruin the trip, but actually it made it even better. Thanks to the rain we could see thousands of waterfalls. It was amazing, like a fantasy world. The guide was also very informative. It was a bit like travelling with David Attenborough.
