Explore the vast biodiversity of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Discover landscapes including savannah, bushland, wetlands and lush forests. Start with pickup from your accommodation and make your way to the park which covers 1,978 square kilometres and is one of the most popular nature reserves on the African continent.  Embark on a game drive with your guide and try to spot the 96 species of mammals, including healthy numbers of hippos, elephants, lions, leopards, chimps, and hyenas. Make your way to the remote Ishasha sector in the far south of the park, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions. See female lions who enjoy spending the long, hot afternoons snoozing photogenically in the fig trees. After the game drive you will be dropped off back to your accommodation. Please note, we only accept camps within the Park, if you stay in Kasese or outside the park we will charge you a fee depending on where you want to be picked.

Day one begins with pickup from your Kampala accommodation and a delicious breakfast to set you up for the adventure. Travel the 5 to 6 hour journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping for photos along the way and lunch in Mbarara. Arrive at the park in the afternoon and head off on a scenic boat cruise. Look out for the array of wildlife, including buffalo, hippopotamus, elephants, and more. From the boat, admire the rolling grasslands, then pass by the plains of Kasenyi where lions stalk their prey. After the cruise, enjoy dinner and a good night’s sleep at your picturesque safari lodge. Wake up on day two with a tasty breakfast then embark on a morning game drive through Kasenyi. On the drive, encounter an array of big and small game, and make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Later, check-out of the lodge and enjoy an optional walk through the park in search of primates before beginning the return journey to Kampala. Along the way, stop for lunch and a visit to the Mpambire Drum Center where you can see drums being made by the locals and shop for souvenirs.

Day 1: Iby’iwacu Cultural Experience & a Guided Nature Walk Around Volcanoes National Park Morning drive you to Volcanoes Nat Park. Start by enjoying a complimentary Kigali city tour before traveling to northern Rwanda. After a 2-hour drive from Kigali to Ruhengeri/Musanze, we will visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Experience in Kinigi. We’ll then be treated to a guided nature walk around Volcanoes National Park. Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda We will start the day with a golden monkey trekking adventure in Volcanoes Nat Park. This primate is native to the high-altitude forests of the park. Once we have seen their playful interactions, we will head out of the park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The transfer to Bwindi National Park will go through the Rwanda-Uganda border at Cyanika. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Today is another day for trekking into the wilderness to spot the rare local animals. You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. You will then embark on your tracking adventure, making your way through the rainforest until you find a family of mountain gorillas. The gorilla trek can take from 3 to 6 hours on average, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. It could last longer, so be prepared just in case! Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Nat Park via Ishasha Sector to Spot Tree-Climbing Lions We will start the journey in the morning from Bwindi Nat Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth Nat Park. We’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. Our first activity will be to drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for the tree-climbing lions. While the sighting of the tree-climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is worth a visit! Day 5: Kasenyi Plains Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Trip Early breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we will proceed to the famed Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Expect to encounter the big five. We will return to the lodge for lunch and a quick break before joining the Kazinga Channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. We’ll have the chance to spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters. Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience at Kalinzu Forest & Return to Kigali Early morning breakfast followed by a drive to the Kalinzu Forest to experience tracking the chimpanzees in their forest home. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter some of the other different species of monkeys in the forest. These include colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. Once we have finished our last trekking adventure, it is time to return to Kigali.

Day 1 Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale National Park Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, for 5-6 hours. Check in at your lodge and spend your evening at leisure. Accommodation Kibale Forest Camp Day2 Primates tracking in Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. Early Morning Forest walk for Chimpanzee Tracking. Have a lunch break then transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP a 2 to 3 hours journey. Check-in at your lodge then embark on an evening game drive at savannah plains. Return to your lodge or overnight stay. Budget: Irungu safari lodge Day 3 Early Morning Game drive at Queen Elizabeth NP and transfer to Bwindi Forest NP. Embark on a second game drive early in the morning, Have a lunch break then embark on a boat safari at Kazinga channel looking out for water animals and different bird species. Then transfer to Bwindi Forest, you will arrive late in the evening intime for dinner and night stay. Accommodation Midrange: Bakiga Lodge Day 4 Gorilla trekking Experience and Transfer Lake Bunyonyi Transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and gorilla trekking. Spend the day trekking and observing the mountain gorillas. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and a variety of birds. Continue to have lunch in Ishasha, game drives at Ishasha on your way to Bwindi in search of the tree climbing lions. Later, drive to Bwindi via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. ( Gorilla leisure lodge) Day 4 Gorilla Tracking  An early start with a cup of coffee, ready for trekking that begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA officials. Visitors are advised to carry along with a rain jacket, drinking water, simple snacks, jungle boots etc The ranger guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been reserved for. Always take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Day 1: Entebbe to Kibale National Park Depart from Kampala and drive to Kibale 358km. You will depart early in the morning and drive west through Mityana and proceed for a lunch break in the beautiful town of Fort Portal. (Optional) Marvel at the stunning palace of Toro Kingdom, the Royal tombs, the numerous shops and the mosque before driving on to Kibale, only a couple of kilometers ahead. On arrival, you will check into Kibale Forest Camp. Actually, Kibale national park hosts the highest number of primates in the whole of East Africa including chimpanzees, baboons, black & white colobus monkeys and the blue monkey. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge. Day 2: Chimp Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Today the forest opens its doors for an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and many others. Upon sighting the chimpanzees, you will spend an unforgettable hour with them as they go about their daily life - feeding, playing, grooming, taking care of their young, howling and screeching, in their natural habitat. After the trek you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, lunch on the way and enjoy an en-route game drive until 4pm, when we arrive at Kazinga Chanel for sundowner boat cruise a natural waterway between Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise will be one of the highlights of your safari as you sight abundant birdlife and view elephants, buffaloes and school of hippos cooling off at the shores. Later check in, dinner and overnight at your lodge Day 3: Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi Nat Park The day begins early as we start with game drives. We head towards Bwindi, driving through the Southern sector, which is famous for its abundant wildlife. Drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park through the verdant country side, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Arrival in Bwindi National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas, you will be checked in for your dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp. Day 4: Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Kigali International Airport in and around Kigali 06:00hrs: After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters at to meet your guides for the day. Complete our park formalities, and then embark on a spectacular mountain tracking adventure. Once you spot them, you'll spend time observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. Most treks will be finished before lunch and we will return you to your lodge for freshen up and check out. Your lunch is already packed and will be eaten en route as we leave for Rwanda. The return drive to Kigali, Rwanda is extremely scenic. Arrive in time for transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

DAY 1: WELCOME IN KIGALI - TOUR BRIEFING AND TRANSFER TO MGAHINGA NAT PARK Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda. Our tour representative and your driver/guide will meet you in the morning at, Kigali International Airport. Then we stop in Kigali for a cup f coffee before start our journey to Uganda, Mgahinga Nat Park via Rwanda/Uganda border of cyanika. We’ll arrive early afternoon and check in to our lodge close to the Park. Overnight at Travellers Resort DAY 2: MOUNTAIN GORILLAS TREK – AFTERNOON TRANSFER BACK TO RWANDA, MUSANZE. At about 6:30am, we take a drive of about 30mins to the National Park headquarters at to meet your guides for the day. After completing our park formalities, we are embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousin. This is perhaps one of the most breath-taking experiences on earth!!! You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. You will spend one hour with the gorillas, but it is an hour you will never forget. Depending on the length of our trek, groups will return to our lodge by about 1pm. In the afternoon, we transfer back to Rwanda, check in to our hotel in Musanze, close to the Volcanoes Nat Park Overnight at Garden Place Hotel DAY 3: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING + IBY’IWACU VILLAGE VISIT + TRAVEL TO KIGALI This day is set out for Golden Monkey tracking in the Volcanoes National Park. Entering dense stands of bamboo interspersed with open glades; you will make your way deep into golden monkey territory. Guides lead visitors to the habitat of groups of ‘habituated’ golden monkeys – monkeys that have become accustomed to human presence. Though viewing is kept to a maximum of one hour, travelers can get an up-close look at the golden monkey in its natural habitat. Adult monkeys frolic in plain view, feeding on bamboo leaves and leaping from perch to perch. Females carry their young, completely comfortable among onlookers. Later visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village a Non-Profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Return to your hotel to freshen up and have lunch then later Transfer to Kigali arriving early afternoon. Afterwards we bid our host goodbye and transfer to Kigali airport for your departure flight back home. End of the Adventure
