A truly amazing experience once in the water! Saw four different species of whales, whereof one was the blue whale up close! The guide on the bus on the other hand barely spoke English, which is not the end of the world BUT he was terrible of telling us when to go where and what to do. I ended up having to leave my backpack on the bus with some essential clothing items after he rushed everybody off the bus and telling everyone to leave everything. He did not tell us that there was no water to purchase by the dock so we had no water for the duration of the trip. But all in all, the experience was mind blowing. The transfer did not spoil the entirety of the trip
We could watch whales and lots of belugas so it was an amazing trip

Know before you go
- The round-trip bus journey from Québec City to Baie-Sainte-Catherine, Charlevoix takes approximately 3 hours each way.
- You can either pack a lunch and/or snacks, or you can buy a preprepared lunchbox from our lunchbox service upon arrival at Baie-Sainte-Catherine (depending on availability). Our lunchboxes are also available for preorder.
- Zodiac excursions are not advisable, and even prohibited for certain persons such as young children (under the age of 6), pregnant people, people suffering from articulation, back, or autonomy problems, or persons in wheelchairs. If you or any members of your group fall under these criteria, we recommend choosing the boat option for a comfortable and equally exciting whale watching experience.
- Whale Guarantee: Our sighting rate is extremely high. However, as the marine park is a natural environment, sometimes the mammals can be more elusive. No worries! If no sightings are made, we'll offer you another whale watching tour (boat tour only).
