Full description

Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Montmorency Falls with this ticket to Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and a round trip cable car ride to the top of the falls. Take advantage of free parking at the cable car station in Beauport.

Begin your visit at the cable car station and take the opportunity to discover the new trails at the foot of the falls. After your walk, take the cable car ride up to the top. You will see dazzling views of the falls, park cove, and Île d’Orléans. Once at the top, learn more about the history of the park at the interpretation center located in the Manoir Montmorency. You will also find a souvenir shop there. Continue to the suspension bridge hanging directly over the falls and listen to the water roaring beneath your feet. There are also a number of trails where you can enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet, and beauty of the park.  The large-format maps on the park will guide you in discovering the panoramic circuit. You can stop to observe the different viewpoints available, or have a picnic. For the more adventurous, opt to go down the panoramic staircase. Clinging to the side of the cliff, this impressive staircase has no less than 487 steps. You will have ample opportunity to take well-deserved breaks during your descent. At the bottom of the stairs, feel the full power of the falls as you get splashed by the water. In winter, the fine splashes projected by the waterfall eventually freeze and form beautiful shapes. These splashes also form the famous Sugarloaf which is a very impressive natural ice cream cone at the foot of the falls. Finally, walk along the new contemplative walkway.

A must see if you go to Quebec! Views are spectacular from atop the falls. We paid for entry and the cable car but we saw people coming in from the top as there's homes there and we saw a booth to enter that way as well. If you come in that way you can save yourself the cost of the cable car because you'll already be at the top. Well worth the entry fee though!

We really enjoyed this outing! The weather was perfect and the views during the cable car ride were photo worthy. There are plenty of beautiful spots to picnic and/or sit at the top and enjoy the view of the river! The walk down the steps is long, but there are places to rest and see the Falls along the way.

Beautiful place to spend a couple of hours. We took the cable car versus the 500 steps but not sure it was worth the money except for small children being with us. There is a playground a picnic area where we had lunch. Would have loved more signage and history at the location.
