We absolutely loved this excursion. We were staying in old town Quebec City and did not have a car so this was a perfect excursion that included transport to the Jacques-Cartier National Park which was about 45 minutes outside of the city. It also was a great introduction to snowshoeing (it was our first time). The whole snowshoe tour was great, it is important to note you are as fast as your weakest link in the group so if you hike often like we do you tend to get a bit more downtime in between spots along the hike. Each stop our guide, Gabrielle, gave us information about the local forest, animals, mushrooms, and also provided various local snacks along the 5k hike that really added to the experience. We highly recommend doing this excursion for a relaxed day doing a snowshoe hike in the national park.

We enjoyed the bits of nature education along the way. As well as the little local snacks! Gabrielle was very knowledgeable and conscientious of all those that were in the group to ensure all were safe throughout snowshoeing. Definitely bring water and wear layers! We would do this again. The whole family enjoyed this very much.

Follow your guide along quiet trails, experiencing winter beauty. Have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and rest breaks. Explore the valley of Belleau Creek, admire the splendor of the Laurentian Mountains, and walk along the Sautauriski River. Discover the forest, look out for wildlife and learn about the area from your local guide. Wildlife can be easier to spot in the winter landscape. Stop at a heated tent for lunch and a refreshing hot drink. Schedule : 9 am : departure from Quebec City 10 am : arrival at the national park 10:30 am : start of the guided activity 2 pm : end of the guided activity 3 pm : departure from the park 4 pm : return to Quebec City

The whole experience was great! It was my second time snowshoeing but my friend had never done it before. Our guide gave a great explanation and made sure that we were secure. During the snowshoeing she gave a lot of explanations about the woods and the park itself and we got to enjoy a hot drink with a nice view after reaching the high point of our track. Once we were back at the information centre we had a delicious lunch with local products and then even had time to check out a shorter track by ourselves before heading back to Quebec. This trip is absolutely worth it and I would advise everyone to go for it.
