Si parte dal "Porto Vecchio" di Santa Maria di Leuca per raggiungere le grotte più affascinanti del versante adriatico, costeggiando Punta Meliso che ospita la Basilica Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, il Faro di Leuca e la Scalinata Monumentale. Dopo una breve sosta a Grotta Cazzafri, si prosegue alla volta di Grotta Terradico, delle Verduselle, Grotta del Soffio e Grotta della Vora. Per poter ammirare da vicino la bellezza di queste insenature, effettueremo una piccola sosta per una nuotata sotto la falesia e l’ingresso nelle grotte.A questo punto si inverte la rotta per raggiungere il versante ionico, attraversando la marina di Leuca racchiusa tra Punta Meliso e Punta Ristola, la terra emersa più a Sud della Puglia. La prima grotta che si incontra sul versante di Ponente, a ridosso di Punta Ristola è la Grotta Porcinara, subito seguita dalla Grotta del Diavolo. L’escursione prosegue con la Grotta del Fiume, la Grotta delle Tre Porte, la Caverna dei Giganti, Grotta della Stalla e la maestosa Grotta del Drago. Anche per il versante ionico è prevista una sosta per immergersi alla scoperta degli scorci più suggestivi che hanno ispirato miti e leggende.Terminata la sosta, La Barca del Porto si riavvia verso il molo, riattraversando la baia con le sue spettacolari ville ottocentesche e le cosiddette “bagnarole”, camerini in muratura che garantivano riservatezza alle signore durante i loro bagni in mare La prima grotta che si incontra sul versante di Ponente, a ridosso di Punta Ristola è Grotta Porcinara, subito seguita dalla Grotta del Diavolo. L’escursione prosegue con la Grotta del Fiume, la Grotta delle Tre Porte, la Caverna dei Giganti, Grotta della Stalla e la maestosa Grotta del Drago. Gettiamo l'ancora e ci concediamo un bagno tra i colori rossastri del tramonto. Risaliamo a bordo per un stappare una bollicina e goderci un aperitivo prima di virare, riattraversare la baia e raggiungere il molo.
