Explore Uruguay's Punta del Este, known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic,” and all it has to offer on a 3-hour guided tour of the resort city's highlights and surrounding areas.  Start out by visiting Gorlero Avenue, the commercial area of the city, followed by the port vicinity and lighthouse square. After a brief stop there, head to Punta de la Salinas, the southernmost point in the country, to see where the La Plata River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Stop by the famous La Mano (The Hand) sculpture on Brava Beach for pictures before a picturesque ride down Rambla Brava, an ocean drive with beautiful houses and gardens. Later, arrive at La Barra by driving over its “wavy” bridges and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the town. Return to the city through some of its more elegant neighborhoods, such as Parque del Golf or Beverly Hills, featuring Punta del Este’s finest houses and mansions.   The final part of the tour consists of passing by the outskirts of Maldonado before arriving at Punta Ballena.
