Full description
Following a pickup from your hotel in Punta Arenas, depart to Bulnes Fort, a Chilean fort located by the Strait of Magellan, 62 km south of Punta Arenas. Travel along Route 9, known as the "end of the continental roads", which borders the Strait of Magellan to the south.

During the trip you will appreciate Dawson Island, located 14 km off the continental edge, and the Cordillera Darwin mountain range on the island of Tierra del Fuego. Pass by natural landscapes with lengas and coigue forests as well as numerous bird species and marine fauna in the region.

Upon arrival at the Strait of Magellan Park, visit the Museum of the Strait that displays a modern exhibit using science and art to explain the territory’s formation process, the different life forms that constitute the strait's habitats, and the history of human presence in this part of the world.

Next, move on to the Bulnes Fort site, originally founded in 1843, this was the first Chilean settlement and later led to the establishment of the city of Punta Arenas. Finally, the last stop before returning to Punta Arenas will be at the geographic milestone that indicates the center of Chile where you’ll get a great picture to end the tour.
