Cusco: 2-Day Lake Titicaca Tour

1. Cusco: 2-Day Lake Titicaca Tour

Day 1: Cusco to Puno You will be picked up from your hotel at 6:30 AM before heading to the tourist bus station for Puno. During the trip, you will make different stops for different tourist centers. At 8:10 AM you will take a 35-minute tour of the Temple of Andahuaylillas Chapel Sixtina de America. Later on, you will explore the Archeological Complex of Raqchi, before sitting down for a buffet-style lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Step la Raya, before continuing to explore the Museum Litico de Pucapucara. Your day will end at 5:30 PM, at which point you will arrive in the city of Puno to rest in your hotel. Day 2: Puno Your second day will begin at 6:30 AM, at which point you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Port of Puno. You will then board your boat in Puno, departing for Taquile. You will then visit the Uros Islands, where you will participate in a cultural demonstration that allows you to discover the Uro way of life. At 11:00 AM, you will reach a secondary port on the island of Taquile, from where you will go up a gentle slope towards the main town. This walk lasts approximately 1 hour, and during the tour, your guide will let you discover many aspects of the local Taquile culture. At 1:00 PM you will break for lunch at a village restaurant, where it is recommended to try the quinoa soup and the fresh fried fish from the lake. Following lunch, your return to the main port of Taquile will begin. At approximately 5:00 PM you will arrive at the hotel lobby. At 9:00 PM you will transfer to the bus station, depart for Cusco at 10:00 PM and arrive at 5:00 AM the following morning. You can then take a taxi back to your hotel.

2. Cusco: The-Route-of-the-Sun Tour to Puno

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco between 6:25AM to 6:45AM, at which point you should be ready and waiting at the door of your hotel or reception. From there, the first stop will be to the Sistine Chapel of America, Andahuaylillas. Following the chapel you'll head to the archaeological center of Raqchi, where you will have the opportunity to take photos. It will soon be time for a buffet lunch, which you will have 45 minutes to enjoy. Following lunch you'll arrive to the Lithic Museum of Pukara. Afterwards you will pass through Kalasasaya, following which you will arrive to Puno at approximately 5:00PM.

3. From Puno: 2-Day Amantani Island Tour

Day 1: Uros and Amantani  On this tour to Amantani, Uros and Taquile Islands, you will be picked up from your hotel in the downtown area and driven to the port, where you will board a comfortable motor boat. Your guide (Spanish/ English) will take you to the Uros Floating Islands (30 minutes travel) before reaching Amantani (approximately 2.5-hours) by midday, where Amantani families will be waiting for you. Walk (30 minutes uphill) to the local houses in Amantani and have lunch based on Andean specialities provided by the islanders. Have time to rest and settle into your rooms. Then, walk to the top of the island and see the ceremonial Inca temples Pachamama and Pachatata. You'll also see one of the best sunsets in the world. Then, return to the local houses for dinner and at night, go dancing with the families (the party is optional). Day 2: Going to the island of Taquile After your breakfast, descend to the Port of Amantani (08:00) to take a boat towards Taquile Island. Have lunch on this island and then return to the Port of Amantani (13:00) to return to Puno by 16:00.

4. From Puno: Uros Islands and Taquile by Fast Boat with Lunch

Spend the day discovering the natural and cultural heritage of Lake Titicaca. One of the first ethnic groups in the Andean region, the Uro people built their homes and livelihoods on floating islands made from reeds. Tour the islands by boat before stopping off at Taquile to meet the locals and enjoy a traditional lunch on the lake.  The adventure starts with hotel pick up from central Puno at 7:00 AM. Drive to the shores of the lake before hopping in a boat for the 1.5-hour journey to Taquile. Ride in comfort on a fast boat with an experienced guide. Restrooms are available onboard and along the way you'll enjoy stunning views of the lake. Upon arrival at Taquile, enjoy a 1-hour walk around the island. Stop by a village to see a cultural demonstration by the locals and learn the art of Taquile textile making which was recognized by UNESCO for its intangible heritage. At 12:00 PM, a lunch of quinoa soup, fresh fish, and vegetables will be served. Enjoy the local flavors while learning about day-to-day life on the island.  After lunch, walk back to the main dock in Taquile for the return transfer. At 3:30 PM, the group arrives in Puno for hotel drop-off.

5. From Puno: Sun Island and Copacabana 1-Day Tour

Your tour begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel where you will then head to Copacabana. When arriving at the border of Peru and Bolivia your passport and migration card will be checked by authorities from both countries. Once arriving in Copacabana you will visit the Sanctuary of Copacabana and then have lunch in town. In the afternoon at 1:30 PM the tour will head to Sun Island. Enjoy a 1.5 hour ride on a motor boat. Once you get to the island, stretch your legs on a 40 minute walk. See the archaeological complexes of Pilko Kaina on the shore of the island, the Chincana ruins, the Temple of the Sung, the Sacred Rock and the Table of Ceremonies. This tour to Aramu Muru has many interesting stops along the way. Your first stop will be in Chucuito village, a colonial town near the Temple of Inca Uyo which has more than 20 penises carved in stone relating to fertility. After this visit, continue to Aramu Muru Gate located in a fantastic location among rocky formations. The tour also includes a short hike around. Have the possibility for visiting these altars with an Andean shaman and make an offering to the Pachamama, a mother earth that was allways considered an important goddess of life. An offering ritual lasts for around 2.5-hours and the shaman will prepare you to know the deep importance of this Andean ancestral ritual.

Good experience to explore puno & lake titicaca. Just beware that after finish tour on the 2nd day, you still have time to explore puno as the bus to go back to cusco will depart around 10pm and you will arrive in Cusco around 5am next day

The truth was very good, the tour is beautiful, the people of the hotel behaved beautifully and the buses to come from Cusco very good, very comfortable, no complaints, super recommended !!
