Depart from La Paz on a fully guided day-trip that sails on Titicaca Lake and visits Copacabana and Yumani as well as Isla del Sol. Enjoy a tasty lunch and discover the famous Inca Steps and the Inca Fountain. Leave La Paz at around 7 am and after approximately 3 hours you will arrive at Tiquina, the narrowest part of the Lake Titicaca. Cross to the other side by boat and continue the trip on a 30-minute bus ride to the town of Copacabana. Once there, have lunch and then head towards the shore to catch a boat to the Isla del Sol, where you will see the Inca steps and the Inca fountain, also known as the youth fountain.  This Inca fountain represents the 3 pillars of the Aymara Culture, Ama Sua, Ama Llulla, and Ama Quella, which mean, you shall not steal, shall not lie, and shall not be lazy. Afterward, visit the town of Yumani and then start heading back to the port to catch the boat back to Copacabana. Once in Copacabana, explore the church, main square, and the crafts market. By 6 PM you will catch the bus back to La Paz, where you should arrive back in the city by 10 PM.

Day 1 Meet your driver at the bus terminal in Cusco in the evening and board your overnight bus to Puno. Day 2 After a night on the road, arrive in Puno in the morning. 8. Cusco: 2-Day Lake Titicaca Tour

Day 1: Cusco to Puno You will be picked up from your hotel at 6:30 AM before heading to the tourist bus station for Puno. During the trip, you will make different stops for different tourist centers. At 8:10 AM you will take a 35-minute tour of the Temple of Andahuaylillas Chapel Sixtina de America. Later on, you will explore the Archeological Complex of Raqchi, before sitting down for a buffet-style lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Step la Raya, before continuing to explore the Museum Litico de Pucapucara. Your day will end at 5:30 PM, at which point you will arrive in the city of Puno to rest in your hotel. Day 2: Puno Your second day will begin at 6:30 AM, at which point you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Port of Puno. You will then board your boat in Puno, departing for Taquile. You will then visit the Uros Islands, where you will participate in a cultural demonstration that allows you to discover the Uro way of life. At 11:00 AM, you will reach a secondary port on the island of Taquile, from where you will go up a gentle slope towards the main town. This walk lasts approximately 1 hour, and during the tour, your guide will let you discover many aspects of the local Taquile culture. At 1:00 PM you will break for lunch at a village restaurant, where it is recommended to try the quinoa soup and the fresh fried fish from the lake. Following lunch, your return to the main port of Taquile will begin. At approximately 5:00 PM you will arrive at the hotel lobby. At 9:00 PM you will transfer to the bus station, depart for Cusco at 10:00 PM and arrive at 5:00 AM the following morning. You can then take a taxi back to your hotel.

Travel by road alongside Lake Titicaca towards the Bolivian side of the border until your reach Copacabana, admiring stunning shoreline views over quintessential Altiplano landscapes.  Make a brief visit to the beautiful Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana before boarding a catamaran to begin your cruise to Sun Island, the cradle of the Inca Empire. Once at this legendary island, visit the Inca palace at Pilko Kaina, followed by the Inca Garden located on top of the Island. Continue to explore Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia, that includes the underground Museum of Ekako, various centers of traditional medicine, Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama Agricultural Inca Terraces, a craft center, the Intica lounge, and a vast array of Andean camelids in the Manco Capac lookout. While at the complex, you can take an optional sailing experience on a huge traditional Titicaca vessel and admire panoramic views of the Pilko Kaina Inca palace. Afterwards, board the catamaran once more and continue on to Copacabana while enjoying the majestic panorama of Lake Titicaca. Finally, board the bus and get dropped off in La Paz at around 7:30 PM.

Ich war von diesem Tour sehr gut überrascht. Super Organisation und Erklärungen vom Guides. Ich war ein bisschen skeptisch weil ich viele Kommentare darüber gelesen habe, dass es sehr turistisch geworden ist und nicht mehr so autentisch. Ich muss zustimmen aber es gibt ein Grund warum es so ist. Das war eine der interessantesten Erlebnisse für mich in Peru und wurde jedem empfehlen. Mir geht´s nicht darum ob sich die Einwohnern für die Turisten bekleiden, sondern wie sie dort leben und diese schwimmende Inseln bauen. Und ein Tip.. die Armbänder die man in Taquile zu verkaufen findet gibt es wirklich nur dort. Ich dachte es gäbe noch in Cuzco, aber gar nicht. Und die sind wirklich die schönste und autentischste. Schade, hätte ich das vorher gewusst.
