What an amazing day and incredible experience! Sometimes the best things happen in the last minute. The night before tour, we found out that the zip line portion had been canceled due to maintenance, but they were substituting another zip line if we were open to that. Of course, I said yes. Echo and his amazing driver Eddie picked us up at the hotel and took us on a wonderful tour. Eddie was a meticulous, conscientious and wonderful driver that looked out for us at every moment. Echo was an amazing guide with lots of suggestions and history about everywhere we were as well as being a marine biologist that shared incredible history and information about the river and ocean around us. The caving and zip line tour was first up and was an amazing experience. I never thought I would be caving, zip lining and doing a river cave tour all in one day. The women inside the cave were wonderful showing me where to hold, where to step and helping me every inch along the way. 10 stars out of 5!

Fantastic day trip! The guides are so knowledgeable, the river cruise through the cave is incredible! We also really enjoyed the local mangrove paddle boat tour and the zip line is fun:)

Full description

Start with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Princesa and travel for 90 minutes to Sabang. Upon arrival at the wharf, your tour guide will arrange the necessary paperwork to access the cave. Ride in a motorboat for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the cave entrance. Put on your hard hat and explore the cave with audio guide commentary. Learn about the cave's importance to the local ecosystem on a tour lasting approximately 45 minutes. 

After the cave tour, head back to Sabang wharf where your lunch will be waiting for you. Visit one of the restaurants lining the beach and enjoy traditional Filipino dishes with vegetarian options available.

After lunch, walk along Sabang beach to reach the Sabang X zipline. Be strapped in and enjoy a scenic low-speed zip line ride for 800 meters. Take in the beautiful views of the mountains and the coastline. At the end of the zipline, enjoy a paddleboat tour through the lush mangrove forest, before being returned to Puerto Princesa.

Rowena our main guide was excellent. She kept us informed every step of the way. Our driver was also courteous and very nice. Our underground boat guide RJ was hilarious. His story telling of the caves was very interesting and he answered all our questions. We really enjoyed the underground caves. The zipline over the ocean was a great ride. Make sure whatever you bring is secured as they don't have pouches for loose things. And be prepared for the hike. It is through the side of the mountain. Watch your step. Last but not least was the mangroves. Our guide was funny and she pointed out sleeping snakes on the trees and lizards camouflaged in the driftwood. She was well informed by all the trees and species of trees. We really enjoyed our day.
