    1. From Puerto Natales: Sierra Baguales Fossil Route Trek

Trek through the wilderness of Patagonia on a full day guided excursion out into this magnificent landscape. After pickup from your hotel between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM, you’ll head to the mysterious Sierra Baguales mountain range. On arrival at the horse ranch, you’ll enjoy a welcome coffee and cookies as you learn about the origins of the ranch.   Start off on a short trek of a half hour to visit Laguna Irene, where you can observe and photograph the birds and surroundings. As you do this, you’ll talk with your guide about the process of colonization of Patagonia, the history of the first human occupation of this place, and the habits and social importance of Patagonia for its first population.   Then, head to your next trekking starting point. The trip to Sierra Baguales was excellent, the whole crew was really super nice and took their time in explaining the history and geology of the place, especially regarding the fossils that are there in abundance, and some are old more than 60 million years, which is fascinating. Meanwhile, we saw a few significant birds, including the Condor, and the Black Swan, and also plants that are indigenous to the area, like the Yareta plant or the Calafate plant. We also saw some Guanacos, some were alive, and some were in skelleton form because the pumas ate them, so I got to see the place that is locally called the "Guanacos cemetary". I am so glad I did this tour, because the scenery is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, and it's really worth every penny since we hiked almost half a day, and enjoyed the scenery and nature along the way. The time passed so quickly because the guides were really funny and positive and we had such a laugh. All in all,I recommend it to be an absolute must.
