Puerto Morelos: Reef Snorkeling Trip with Beachside Lunch

Air conditioned vans for pick up and drop off, good drivers, lockers for your gear, all equipment provided and decent quality. Lovely friendly staff and single photos or video photo package optional extra cost. Tacos included afterwards, drinks extra cost. 5 minute boat ride and an hour snorkel in clear very warm water about five feet deep made it a very pleasant snorkel trip. Youngsters will benefit with being familar with snorkelling, clearing masks etc and not too young because there was a slight current going out. Decent amount of fish, and coral not in bad shape overall compared with many other places i have been with plenty of soft corals. A grouper and a yellow stingray were fun to see as not often around in other places i have been. I am coming back in December with my husband and plan not only to stay in Morelos, but to take this tour again and some other interesting ones on offer through this company. The staff was very informative, professional and funny. Great value for the money - The equipment, snorkel tour, tequila tasting and tacos at taqueria. I’m not a confident swimmer so Mike tagged me and one another person through the entire snorkel. I felt very safe and comfortable and was able to enjoy the beautiful reef and fish sightings. The pictures they took were also great. They educated us well on both reef conservation and the making of tequila. We opted to stay back at Puerto Morelos beach and didn’t ride back to the hotel. The reef and beach are absolutely beautiful!
