Full description
Pick up your bike and listen to a short explanation of how to ride the bike safely. Embark on your 3-hour cycling tour which encompasses convenient cycle paths, pedestrian zones, and parks so you won't have to navigate dangerous traffic. Begin the tour by heading to the literal center of Spain at the Puerta del Sol where you will see the 0km sign. Then, cross into the Malasaña neighborhood in the direction Plaza de España. Pass by the statues from the book Don Quixote written by Cervantes. There will be various stops to take photos and take a break to have a drink. The guide frequently stops at places of interest and will tell you stories or anecdotes behind what you see. The guide will also share his personal experiences of his time living in Madrid. Next, cycle into Parque del Oeste to see the Egypt Templo Debod. Here you can enjoy great views over the west side of Madrid and you might even be able to see the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range in the distance. Continue on towards the oldest part of Madrid, Plaza de Oriente where you see the Royal Palace and the impressive statue of the Habsburg King Philip IV. Peddle past San Nicolas Church and Plaza de la Villa in the direction of the Plaza Mayor. After that cross Plaza Santa Ana into the Las Letras neighborhood where you will find the Caixa Forum and Prado Museum. Finally, end the tour by exploring Retiro Park, a beautiful and well-maintained park in the center of the city which is a must-see for all visitors to Madrid. After the tour, be inspired to return to places you would like to visit again and to which tapas bars or restaurants you want to try out for a well-deserved bite to eat.

Lovely experience. Our guide, Eva, was not only nice, but also knowledgeable. With the help of her tips I could enjoy even more what was around me. The other thing that deserves praise is the place where she led me to try authentic tapas. Fantastic place and delicious food. Recommended experience!

was a very nice, instructive bike ride .. occasionally a climb but Michel keeps a close eye on everything. The explanations and the interesting locations we saw were top notch. I'm not really into cycling myself, but it went well and you see A LOT of the city that you don't see otherwise. Well done Michel. The list of tasty restaurants was also useful!

I did this bike trip with my son who is a student in Madrid. We both really enjoyed it and learned so much about the city and its history. Eva, our guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and really made the trip a fantastic experience. The bikes were new and comfortable to cycle and meant we could travel to many different landmarks in the three hours. Cycling with a guide is a great way to orientate yourself to a new place. Madrid has countless beautiful buildings , parks and streets. I particularly liked cycling through El Retiro Park. Eva told us a lot about the history of the various buildings which was very interesting. Michel himself got in touch before our trip to check in on us and gave us his details in case we had any difficulties. I would highly recommend this cycle tour.
