Full description

Begin your adventure at the Pasarela Rio Azul. Meet your guide in the parking lot and start your trail crossing the Motoco Cardenas Mapuche community food garden. Walk through the Andean Patagonian forest under the shade of ancient trees, ascending and crossing multiple mountain streams.

Hike uphill and after around two hours, take a detour to a panoramic point where you can appreciate the Azul Valley, the mountains around, and the picturesque town of Lago Puelo. Enjoy a panoramic view, hydrate, and have a little snack to get your strength back.

Return deep into the forest to start gaining height and surround the east hills of Mount Morrudo until you arrive at the Old Francisco Mountain Hut. This abandoned cabin serves as a base camp for the ascent of Mount Morrudo. Spend around an hour here for lunch and free time to enjoy the beauty of the place. After resting, start the return journey through the same path.
