Gary was an amazing guide. He allowed us to tailor the day, while providing suggestions along the way. We started the day with a quick coffee and treat for the kids and then made our way to many destinations: 1. Greenwell Coffee Farm - private tour 2. Malasadas and any snack of our choice - break 3. Volcanoes National Park - lookout, steam vents, lava tubes, and lunch 4. Punalu’u black sand beach swimming and sea turtles 5. Rainbow Falls Gary had a cooler full of drinks and snacks for us all cued up during the ride. He was knowledgeable in Hawaiian history and talked with us along the drive to explain - with photos as well - the history of the lava formations and crater. He also showed us historical buildings and spoke of their significance. He talked with us about the discovery of the island and about what foliage is natural versus what has been imported or transplanted from other places. The best part was the ability to do this as a family, in a van and cater to us!

This was one of the best tours I've ever experienced. It was absolutely worth every penny! Being a private tour, we could customize the schedule to our family's preferences rather than following a rigid group itinerary. We spent more time at places that interested us most, moving at our own pace throughout the day. Our tour guide was exceptional! He was both easy to talk with and incredibly knowledgeable about the island. When he noticed our energy levels dropping, he thoughtfully gave us space to rest without any pressure to maintain conversation. Looking at the value, it's remarkable - our family of four paid less than $1,200 for an 11-hour private tour, working out to under $300 per person. For a fully customized experience with such an attentive guide, this was an outstanding deal.

Gary was absolutely the best host to do the Island tour with. He had a family of 5 and were so comfortable the entire time. Gary far exceeded our expectations from snacks, drinks and being patient with traveling with our mom. If you are hesitant don’t be. He is the Grand Tour Guide on the Island. Also super knowledgeable on the islands, coffee, plants and history. When it comes to where to go with the time we have available he kept us going and on schedule. Thank you Gary

A very exciting adventure. The pilot/guide told us about everything of the island, describing places and the history of them. The view from the helicopter was really unbelievable and we had the chance to appreciate the different colours of the ocean thanks to the weather. We weren't able to go up to the volcano because of the clouds, but the coastline made the flight worth the cost of the tour. Thanks justin!
