Park and take the shuttle bus to the entrance (last stop), which costs €2.50, not included in your entrance ticket. If you arrive by public transport, you must also take this shuttle bus and go to the last stop to enter. Meet your guide at the northern access of the Caminito, at the ticket office. Declared by the Junta de Andalucía as a Natural Area in 1989, it had already been classified as a Special Protection Area for Birds in 1987 and, since 2006, it is part of the Andalusia-Morocco Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean. The site has been added to the list of Places of Community Importance in the Mediterranean Biogeographic Region. The Museo Picasso Málaga was created in response to the artist's desire for his work to be exhibited in the city of his birth in 1881. Its realization is thanks to the combined efforts of the artist´s daughter-in-law and grandson, whose donations provide the body of the art collection, and Junta de Andalucía, who arranged an ambitious project devoted to the artist. Located in the Palacio de Buenavista, declared a National Monument in 1939, the Museo Picasso Málaga opened in the heart of Málaga in 2003.
