Rijeka: Free Walking Tour with a Local Guide
Explore the city of Rijeka on a free walking tour. See the Adriatic square, the Venetian house, the Korzo, the Old Town, the St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Leaning Tower of Rijeka. Meet your guide at the Adriatic square and set off on a walk through the city. Hear stories about how Rijeka used to be the largest port in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and how the city has developed through the centuries. Pass by the Venetian house, the Korzo, the main square with cafés and a clock tower, the Old Town, and the ancient Roman post of Tarsatica. Admire the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Leaning Tower of Rijeka, the Old City Port's wharf and the National Theatre. If you are on the morning tour, we'll stop by the Central Market and the Turkish house. We'll end the tour in the harbour, where many luxurious yachts are anchored nowadays. Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each guest gives the guide at the end of the tour the amount that the guests consider appropriate (these usually range from €10 per person, and more depending on satisfaction with the tour).
