Then, go to the Pinkas Synagogue to discover a hallowed museum dedicated to the Czech victims of the Holocaust. See a heart-wrenching exhibition of drawings by the children of the Terezin Ghetto. Next, go the Klausen Synagogue to see its permanent collection regarding the Maharal of Prague, along with exhibits relating to everyday Jewish life and rituals. Discover an extensive collection of Judaica at the Maisel Synagogue, and end at the newly restored Moorish-inspired Spanish Synagogue. During the tour, you will also visit the Ceremonial Hall of the Prague Burial Society at the Chevrah Kaddisha building, and see the Old Jewish Cemetery to find densely packed layers of graves, sometimes up to 12 levels deep.

It was a nice educative experience about the lives

It was a wonderful experience where we were immersed into the fascinating history of the Jews in Prague and in Europe in general by our guide, who was immensely knowledgeable and catered to all our questions and whims! I would recommend this to anyone who has the slightest interest in history and culture.

After some confusion about our booking when we arrived at the meeting area, everything was great. Our guide was the son of a couple that actually met in a concentration camp, survived and were married after the war. He was extremely knowledgeable and our small group of seven made it easy to hear him and ask questions.

Very informative and interesting

We were in a small group of 4 people plus a guide, which could have made the tour a bit more flexible. Dana, our guide, had a lot to explain, but it was a little stiff. You also had to be very focused to understand their English with the Czech accent. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the Spanish synagogue is currently not available (for the next two years?). That was a shame, but nobody can do anything for it. Exploring this topic is hardly better than in this place. So much well-preserved and presented history and at the same time you can feel and see that Judaism is still actively lived there. Very impressive!
