Full description
The Best of Swan Lake performance features the music of Tchaikovsky with the entire story told in a selection of scenes from one of the world’s most beloved ballets. Little is known about the original production of Swan Lake. Much of the Swan Lake we know today is from a revision in 1895 by the famous choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. About the Performance The performance covers the complete story of the original ballet in selected scenes and is performed by top dancers and Prague National Theatre soloists. Music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The Cast Odette/Odile: Magdalena Matějková, Andrea Kramešová Prince Siegfried: Ondřej Novotný, Karel Audy Rothbart: Milan Boček, Radek Vrátil The Prince’s Mother: Monika Kysilová, Karolína Cachová, Michaelo Wenzelová Clown: Veaceslav Burlac, Serghei Gherciu, Alexandr Kysil Ballet Company: Tereza Ulrichová, Ivana Mikešová, Pavlína Mráziková, Daria Lazucová, Helena Fábiková, Karolína Nováková, Klára Žežulková, Karolína Cachová, Lenka Hrabovská, Monika Kysilová, Michaela Wenzelová, Tereza Kučerová, Lenka Šnellerová, Klára Slaná, Kateřina Routková, Zuzana Semová, Natálie Rychetská, Lýdie Švojgerová, Eliška Kolářová The Venue: Divadlo Hybernia, Prague The venue has a long and varied history. The building dates from a time before the foundation of the New Town by Charles IV. It was an Ambrosian monastery in the 14th century. After the 30 Years' War (1618-1648) Ferdinand II allowed Irish Franciscans to establish a college on the site of the desolate monastery. The present Classical appearance of the building dates back to the early 19th century. The building served as an exhibition site in the 20th century and only in 2006 was the dilapidated building saved by the Hybernia Theatre project. Theatre Hybernia opened in 2006 as a modern, air-conditioned theater and concert hall with 1,000 seats, 2 restaurants, 4 bars, and a summer terrace.

I want to recommend to go and see the Swan lake ballet show. It is fantastic, the Russia classic was done very professionally by the cast. The main swan dancer was breath taking with her dancing. Tip- don’t sit in the front rows it is too close to the stage (the theatre room is relatively small). Also, you can move in seats since they are not marked. Enjoy!

Certainly a special experience. Also one where you don't have to master Czech, because everything revolves around the music and the dance. What needs clarification: category C (as stated on the ticket) means that you can only take a seat from row 25 and above. Not that these are such bad places, but it prevents you from accidentally sitting in already reserved places.
