What to Expect
Head out from Prague on a 2-day excursion that takes you through scenic central Bohemia to the Příbram Mining Museum, the nearby Holy Mountain, and to the popular Monínec ski center. Enjoy skiing and other activities on offer before returning to Prague.
You’ll be picked up at your hotel at around 08:30 for the drive through the lovely countryside of central Bohemia to the Mining Museum in Příbram. The museum was founded in 1886 and in 2014 it was declared a National Technical Monument. Located in the Pribram–Březové Mountains on the site of an old mine from the 16th century, the original mining buildings date from 1779. See the historic underground area in the Březové Mountains and many unique technical monuments.
You’ll have a break to enjoy lunch in the newly rebuilt Lighthouse restaurant. Afterwards you’ll continue on to the Holy Mountain, an important baroque complex comprising cloisters with chapels in the 4 corners.
Following your visit to the Holy Mountain, you’ll be taken to your accommodation in Monínec, where you’ll receive your skiing equipment and begin the skiing portion of your trip.
After breakfast you’ll have the full day to enjoy skiing at the Monínec ski center. There are many additional activities on offer for both adults and children as well. At the end of the day you’ll be transferred back to Prague, arriving at around 18:00.
