Know before you go

  • Blue Route (single decker panoramic bus)- first departure from Stop 9 at 9:37am/ from Stop 1 at 9:47am. Last departure from Stop 9 at 4:07pm/ from Stop 1 at 4:17pm. Buses run every 30 minutes. Tour duration- 90 minutes
  • Red Route (double-decker bus)- first departure from Stop 1 Main Train Station at 10:35am, last departure from Stop 1 at 4:35pm. Buses run every 60 minutes. Tour duration- 60 minutes
  • Please note, only the Red Route buses are wheelchair accessible
  • River Cruise (if appropriate ticket is selected) between 1st April and 30th September: First departure at 10am, last departure at 8pm from Pier 3, Vltava River (Stop 8 Blue Line). Operates every 60 minutes. Duration - 55 minutes
  • River Cruise (if appropriate ticket is selected) between 1st October and 31st March: First departure at 12pm, last departure at 6pm from Pier 3, Vltava River (Stop 8 Blue Line). Operates every 60 minutes. Duration - 55 minutes

You have to change your online ticket into an paper one at the stand, so you have to leave the bus and get in line. There was a long waiting line so my partner also had to leave the bus, because the bus is on a schedule. So we had to wait for the next bus, this one was full, so the waitingtime became 1 hour. Very cumbersome because you already have an online ticket/QR code. Customer unfriendly. Tour is good along the main sights. You get earphones on the bus, music is played in between, you love it or you don't

One driver drove like a maniac and was downright scary. The times in the brochure didn't have any real office, the buses came and went as they happened. The line change between blue and red didn't work either, at best you could have to wait almost an hour for the change. It's not worth buying anything from Saedenvarjo men! They are scammers and lurk near bus stops.

The hop on hop off bus is a great and quick way to get to know any country in Europe. This one was no different, but the helper on the bus was looking at her cell phone more than informing the tourists. Anyway, use the headphones and it's all good!
