What to Expect
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and travel with you by bus to Mělník. During a short ride through the Bohemian countryside you'll learn about the fascinating history of Mělník, dating back to the 10th century.
The first stop on your full-day itinerary is Mělník Chateau, where you’ll have a chance to experience what life was like for a wealthy noble family of the 18th and 19th centuries. Admire the charming baroque interiors as well as precious works of art.
After a lunch break at the Chateau’s restaurant, you’ll head to the Chateau’s wine cellars to taste some of the best local wines produced in this region.
The last stop on the tour will be the St. Peter and Paul Basilica, for a visit to the huge ossuary. Bones from more than 10,000 bodies decorate the ossuary, creating an unbelievable atmosphere.
Then it will time for the pleasant train journey back to Prague’s main railway station.
