Full description
The Czech Republic has the highest beer consumption per capita in the world and the people have the traditions to back it up. In 850, there is evidence that hops were being grown in the Czech lands. The first recorded brewing was in 990 AD, by Bohemian monks, at the Břevnov Monastery near Prague Castle. Now, you can explore and contribute to 1,500 years of continuous love of beer with a 1-5-hour Czech beer tasting experience. Sample beers from 3 major, mass-producing Czech breweries and 4 specialty beers from local Prague microbreweries and brew houses. Enjoy these beers and their pairing with Hermelín cheese–a Czech cheese that can be pickled, deep-fried, or grilled–and crackers. You will also learn about how to properly taste, evaluate, and savor beer.

The guide was really knowledgeable, had a good laugh and a great personality. He coped really well with crowd control and pace during the “tour” especially as there were 3 different nationalities there, and one of the groups turned up late. The 7 beers that we tried were all a decent size, bigger than I was expecting on a tour like this, and actually decent beers, not just the cheapest 7 they could find. We learned about the history behind each beer and how to taste them, which was really interesting. Overall the tour was really good, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s interested in beer.

The guide Steve Neo Zelandais was very nice. We were only with Germans and the guide is very understandable for non-English people. The 7 beers were very good and the history on the different beers very interesting. Now prepare yourself well because 7 20Cl glasses of beer makes a great aperitif.

An interesting experience for beer drinkers and connoisseurs. We learned a lot and had a great selection of beers. You shouldn't expect too much from the location. A somewhat bleak pub, but that's not the focus here either. There were only two of us and we could ask a lot of questions. Also very funny in a large group.
