Full description

Step back in time to a dark period in Czechoslovakia’s history. With an expert guide leading the way, you will discover what it was like to live in country under communist rule – an age of paranoia, spying, fear and violence.

You will learn about the history of communism, hear cold war stories and about the biggest statue of Stalin ever built and the former headquarters of the former communist secret police.

Afterwards the tour will lead you for a visit to Prague’s largest nuclear bunker. Built in the 1950’s, this bunker was designed to accommodate up to 5000 people.

The tour will conclude with a trip to the nuclear bunker museum which will include cold war expositions and a special gasmask workshop.

I really don’t know where to begin. Our tour guide maxim was superb from start to finish. We started our tour from the nearby meeting point and had regular intervals stopping and giving us information on how the country as it is today. He showed us various sights if interest, including where the old torture buildings were for interrogation of the kgb and gestapo and where the revolutions began and people who lost their lives for their country. Myself and my partner found it very interesting to listen to and the visit to the nuclear bunker was fantastic and very educational. This tour is a must for anyone visiting this lovely country.
