it's was amazing trip martina was amazing, very recommned
We spent the day with Yuliya who was friendly and informative. There is a 2 hour train ride to get to area then approximately 2km walk to the start of the hike (which means 2km walk back once the hike is over too!). The hike itself is 9km one way (approx 18km hiking in total) and includes a mix of very sharp slopes, stairs and flat ground. Both of us had a low/moderate fitness level and found the slopes challenging (especially at the start of the hike) but the flat ground later was much easier. You walk for approx 4h before a lunch break. The frequent stops in between makes it much more bearable to walk the total distance advertised and the scenery is very beautiful. Options for lunch are fast food (hot dogs, hamburgers) or restaurant within the castle. Unfortunately the castle was overbooked for lunch but the fast food lunch option was still good! The hike after lunch is much easier as there were fewer staircases to climb and much flatter, even ground. It was challenging but rewarding
