Enjoy a 3-hour tour of Prague, visiting the Old Town Square, the loathed TV Tower, and the iconic Charles Bridge, amongst the sights, before hiking to Prague Castle, which in itself is home to the Old Royal Palace, Golden Lane, and St. Vitus Cathedral.
What to Expect
Explore the beautiful, and often eccentric landmarks of the Czech capital, tracing the paths of Prague's historic regal and cultural icons.
See the Templar-established church and monastery, Our Lady Under the Chain at the Old Town Square. Cross Kampa Park and, from the Owl Mill, observe the city's much derided TV tower, adorned by David Černý's amusing climbing baby sculptures. See the magnificent Charles Bridge on the way to the Franz Kafka Museum, where more Černý works can be sighted, and tour the exquisite Vojan and Wallenstein Gardens.
The somewhat strenuous ascension to Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world, is rewarded by breathtaking views of the city. Inside the palace complex, cross the Golden Lane where Kafka once lived amongst many of the city's alchemists. Then visit the Old Royal Palace, once the site of countless coronations, jousts, and markets.
The tour concludes at the St. Vitus Cathedral, the largest of the city's many religious structures. Visits to the building were once thought to induce involuntary fits of dancing, as well as supposedly curing laziness and protecting against lightning strikes and animal bites!
