Look inside the largest castle complex in the world on a 3.5-hour tour of Prague Castle. Discover the seat of Czech kings, Holy Roman emperors and presidents. Walk through Golden Lane listening to stories about alchemists, Franz Kafka, and more.
What to Expect
Explore the vast Prague Castle complex - holder of the Guinness Book of World Record title for the largest castle complex in the world - and get privileged access to the ornate interiors of buildings that have housed kings, Holy Roman emperors, and - since 1918 - Czech presidents.

First, transfer by air-conditioned bus from the city center. Your guide will tell some of the history of Prague's most famous attractions along the way. Upon arrival at the castle gates, go inside the castle to see its elaborate interiors in a variety of architectural styles. Marvel at motifs from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Roman, as well as the Gothic masterpiece of St. Vitus Cathedral.

Continue through the Royal Palace and Vladislav Hall to see the Roman Basilica of St. George. Enjoy panoramic views of Prague from multiple locations in the castle grounds. Make your way down Golden Lane to see the former home of Franz Kafka. According to legend, Golden Lane is where alchemists in the Middle Ages tried to create gold and the Philosopher’s Stone for Emperor Rudolph II.

Finally, take a trip through the St. Wenceslas' Vineyards. End at the Malostranska Metro Station, where you can catch the Green "A" Line, not far from the Charles Bridge.
