1. Prague Castle: Small-Group Tour with Local Guide & Admission

Visiting Prague Castle is like walking into a fairy tale. See the highlights of the castle complex including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane. The Castle contains an overwhelming amount of history and art, but thanks to your local expert guide, you'll navigate the castle grounds with ease. Meet your guide in front of the Malostranská metro station near the Mánes Bridge. From there, take the tram up to Prague Castle. Once inside, your guide will give you headphones so that you can easily hear their commentary throughout the tour. Marvel at St. Vitus’ Gothic architecture. Spot the gargoyles that adorn the exterior of the church. Be dazzled by the Art-Nouveau stained glass window made by Czech artist Alfons Mucha. Admire the 14th-century mosaic of the last judgment. See the tombs of St. Wenceslas and Charles IV, the baroque tomb of St. John of Nepomuk, and the Chapel of St. Wenceslas. Next, enter the Old Royal Palace. See the fragments of 12th-century frescoes and then walk up the double staircase where the remains of St. Ludmila lie.  Walk along the Golden Lane. The cottages in this alley were originally built for the castle’s sharpshooters, but later housed goldsmiths. In later centuries artists like Franz Kafka lived there. The tour was super convenient. Ticket expenses included a tram ticket, so all we had to do was find the (well-signed) meeting place and follow the guide. The sights themselves were beautiful and rich in history. Worth seeing, for sure. Our guide was very knowledgeable on the history, architecture, and folklore — definitely made it worth booking a tour, as we got to hear info that we never would’ve known otherwise. Additionally, our guide was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. During the downtime while we were walking from place go place, he’d tell us about Czech history, culture, and daily life. Wasn’t expected, but definitely made the tour more personal, interesting, and informative.

This is an essential tour to take if you're in Prague. Ross is an amazing guide and, as a local, he can tell us several bits of history that only someone who was born in the country could give us. During the tour, we learned a lot about different periods of the turbulent and incredibly rich Prague's history. The castle is amazing and Ross was able to guide us very efficiently throughout its different areas, confirming his experience and professionalism. Super recommended!!

A perfect blend of bus, walk, and boat trip. Just long enough spent at all the sites and sufficient information to spark your interest.

Great visit, our guide was excellent and the castle and its neighborhood are really beautiful :)

Excellent tour with Sebastian. Saw all the great sights and he took excellent pictures of us.
