Napoli: Discover Scuba Diving in the Park of Baia

Napoli: Discover Scuba Diving in the Park of Baia

The Discover Scuba Diving is a first try dive, no license is required and the minimum age to participate is ten years old, the program is set to the PADI standards. Explore the wonders of the ancient Roman city of Baia, the Roman city where luxury was the standard, that is today in part underwater due to the strong volcanic activity of the Phlegrean Fields, the geological area we are inside of. The phenomenon called bradisism made the earth level slowly sink down over the years, so today the Roman Villas that were in front of the sea are about 4 meters underwater, and the sea has preserved them to us in a marvellous way. As soon as you decide to start you will be given a form to assess whether a medical certificate will be needed or not, and a brief e-learning that anticipates the things you will need to know. Once you arrive at our Diving Center you will attend a short theoretical lesson conducted by our instructors, to best explain the basic knowledge of diving, the equipment and how to behave in the water. You will know all you need to be safe and to enjoy each second of your dive! We will provide you with all of the equipment you need, you will only need to bring your swimming suit, a towel and some clean clothes to get changed afterwards if you wish to. Once we're ready we will go by boat to the Archaeological Park of Baia where we will admire ancient mosaics, statues, marble floors and all of the ancient structures of the Roman city of Baia (beloved by emperors and senators) and of course the sea life that populates it today! The dive will last approximately 45 minutes, following one of the visit routes predisposed by the Park, and our instructors will always be by your side, holding you by hand, to give you the best support and help possible, and to ensure you live an unforgettable experience! After the dive we will return to the Diving Center, where you will have at your disposal showers and changing rooms, and usually some refreshments are not missing. After this experience your instructor will certificate that you have done it, and it counts as a first dive of an Open Water Diver Course PADI, not just with us, but in any PADI diving center in the world. What are you waiting for? Don't miss on this incredible opportunity!

Following a pick-up from your pre-arranged location in Naples, travel to the regional park, also known as the Campi Flegrei. See the surviving columns of the macellum, studded with mollusc holes. Visit the Acropolis of Cuma at the site of the ruined city of Cumae on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Founded by Euboean Greeks, the most famous monument here is the Sybil cave sanctuary. Go to the former Roman seaside resort of Baiae to see the Museum of the Phlegrean Fields in the former Aragonese fortress. I have done the diving activity to see the underwater archaeological zone of Baia in this centre and I recommend it. The treatment of the staff is outstanding, they help you with everything, and in my case they give a lot of security to carry out the dive with all the guarantees and tranquility. Recommended not only for the experience itself, which is incredible, but for the warmth of the staff and added value.

The e-bike tour was excellent. We were given a thorough introduction to the bike at the beginning and did a few test laps before our tour guide Monica showed us some of the places in Naples that are worth seeing that we wouldn't have seen without a bike. We felt very safe despite the incredible traffic in Naples. Thank you very much for the great result. Andrea and Peter

Excellent day with many exciting archaeological discoveries. My guide Massimo spends neither his time nor his efforts to share his wealth of knowledge. And my driver Giovanni travels with great safety in complicated traffic and is extremely attentive.

We had a wonderful tour with Pasquale. Pozzuoli is so worth it-so much history. I’m so glad to see the preservation efforts going on at the amphitheater….excellent tour!

Very good, friendly instructors and clear instruction.
